Research and evaluation are all about questions!
If yours are not answered here, reach out to Loraine for a free consultation.
Loraine offers a wide range of services, such as conducing a background literature review, drafting research and evaluation plans for grant projects, designing and implementing surveys or other data collection tools, and analyzing quantitative or qualitative data to produce high-quality reports. Loraine is skilled in remote collaboration but is able to be onsite when needed. Whatever stage your project is at, Loraine can help make it more focused, efficient, and effective.
There is a difference! Although the day-to-day activities may look similar, research and evaluation are two distinct skills within Loraine's repertoire. Each has a unique purpose. Research focuses on testing theories, while evaluation is more about understanding processes and telling the stories around a new program, for example. Research might ask, "Does it work?" Evaluation might ask, "How does it work?" Evaluation should be impactful for a local community, while research may be aimed at other researchers and theorists, reaching stakeholders indirectly. Funded projects often include both research and evaluation elements! Loraine can offer expertise in both areas of work, or focus on just one within a client's project, depending on their needs.
Loraine has years of experience in education, as a teacher, researcher, and evaluator.
